you know i don’t care if you bleed
2024

mattress foam, barbed wire, rust water, rope, string, wires, latex tube, plastic tube, down spout gutter, wooden shavings, broken heat lamp, packing peanuts, nylon stockings, spiky tree seeds, testosterone bottles and radios.

you know i don’t care if you bleed is an effort to de-romanicise sex– devoid of purity and neat alignment to the heterosexual world. The materials I used in this piece all behave in accordance to the themes I was thinking about at the time : unfettered transexual desire, secretion, leakage, and queering systems (sex is the system in this case) of input + output.

I also pay homage to Leo Bersani's seminal work  “Is the Rectum a Grave?” and Julia Kristeva's words on rupture/ rapture for helping me find words for this experiment.
