Sight and memory are always compromised. Like the rocks, sand and heat present in the installation, they erode
and shift states through moving parts of the past, present and future. This multi channel video incubates the complex
relationship I have to Filipino faith, pride, endurance and shame. Through aggregating embodied performance, archives
of Filipino newschannels, my family’s instagram stories, and found footage of the catholic lenten ritual Penitensya,
I stress that culturall retained values are manifest in the entanglement of these media.
